Thomas Boykin, born April 7, 1798, Camden,SC was the son of Burwell Boykin and Mary Whitaker of Camden, SC. He died in Conech Co. AL in 1846 and his widow remarried twice and moved to Yalobusha Co. MS. He married first, Eliza Boykin, daughter of Simon Boykin and Nancy Andrews and they had one son, Starke Hunter Boykin. Eliza died in 1822 in Conech Co. AL. He then married Amanda Starke, daughter of Douglas Starke in Clarke Co. AL on January 23, 1923. They had two children:
1) Mary Elizabeth Boykin, born November 23, 1823 in Conech Co. AL, died July 17 1878 in Logan Co. ARK. She married Benjamin Dillard Hardwick on July 21, 1837 in AL. They later lived in Yalobusha Co. MS.
2) Thomas Boykin, born about 1825.
After the death of Thomas Boykin Amanda Starke remarried twice, 1) John Whitaker Willis and 2) Benjamin H. Hardwick. They moved to Yalobusha Co. MS. Would like to correspond with any descendants of Thomas Boykin and Amanda Starke. Will be glad to share what family information that I have. Charlotte G. Boykin
