Preston C. Willis was born in MS. He was the son John W. Willis and Amanda A. Starke. He married Mary M.Ingram on January 21, 1857 in Yalobusha Co. MS. They had at least two children: Pearl Willis and Wilton Willis. There may have been more children as I have found a P. C. Willis listed in Grenada Co. MS in the 1880 census with the following information: P. C. Willis, age 44, born MS, farmer, wife Mary Willis, age 38, born MS, and the following children:
1) Robert Willis, age 17, born MS
2) Norman Willlis, age 14, born MS
3) Randolph Willis, age 12, born MS
4) Mary Willis, age 11, born MS
5) John Willis, age 8, born MS
6) Oscar Willis, age 5, born MS
7) Pearl Willis, age 1, born MS
