Are the Cobb and Parker families included in your book? These families are included in my book, "Some Cobbs of Mississippi" which was donated to the Yalobusha Genealogy Soc. in Coffeeville, MS. Gray Cobb and wife Winney Wooten and Philemon Parker and wife Eliza Montgomery were listed in the 1850 as well as the 1840 Yalobusha Co. Census. They lived on a strip of land that was made a part of Calhoun Co. in 1852. Their descendants have owned and lived on that same strip continuously since the original land grant in 1839. Some of the land has been sold, some lost in the Civil War, but a portion still in the possession of the family.

How about the Boyle and Hyde families? They, too, were prioneers to Yalobusha in the 1840's. James Boyle married Mary Ann Hyde, daughter of Will Hyde and Sarah Pollard. They settled in the Airmount community. My mother was born to their son Willis Boyle and wife Lucy Ann Ellis in Airmount in 1887. Lucy was the daughter of James Ellis and Sarah Smith. Many of the Boyle and Hyde descendants continue to live in and around Yalobusha Co.

I have no further info on the Ellis and Smith families, but would appreciate receiving anything you may have on them if you care to share.
