I do not know whether this will help, but I have Hunt family ties in the area of Banner and Paris, MS. They are on the county line dividing Calhoun Co. from Lafayette Co. Thomas Van Buren Hunt (b. Dec. 1837 in MS) married Cincinatti Francis Mathis. They had 1. Malinda C. Hunt (b. 1862 and d. 1941)who married Benjamin M. Blount; 2. Arthur G. Hunt (b. 1867 d. ?) who married Catherine Unknown in 1897; 3. Leona Hunt (b. 1869); 4. Infant Son Hunt; 5. John T. Hunt
My other Hunt connection is through a brother of Thomas Van Buren Hunt. Henry Cornelius Hunt (b. ? d. Nov. 8, 1918) was the second husband of Elizabeth C. Mathis (sister of Cincinnati Francis Mathis). I have no record of children to this marriage.
