Joy, thank you for answering my query. The family I am trying to trace is that of Robert K. Sturdivant, born ca 1852. CENSUS-MS-YALOBUSHA-1880: ED 209, page 237D, 8 Jun, Dwlg 143 Sturdivant, Robt. K. 23 [head] MS NC NC Farmer, can't read or write Sturdivant, Mattie F. 24 wife AL AL AL Housekeeper, can't read or write Sturdivant, Mary E. 2 dtr MS MS AL Moseley, Walter H. 12 bro-in-law AL AL AL Leisure Moseley, Russell 10 bro-in-law AL AL AL Leisure Moseley, Tempie 14 [ng] AL AL AL Servant, mulatto, deaf and dumb I am actually working on the Moseley line. Mattie was dead before May 1887 when her father John Patrick Moseley's land was petitioned to be divided here in Morgan County, AL. There was another child, James K. Sturdivant, born ca 1882. I cannot find this family in MS in 1900. Would you happen to have access to cemetery records that might include Mattie (or Martha) Moseley Sturdivant or any of her family? Thank you so much for your help. Pat Brown Notify Administrator about this message?
