I do know where Mattie F. Sturdivant and several of her children are buried. Go to: www.usgenweb.com/ms. Then go to Tallahatchie County and look at the cemetery listings. I recorded the few graves in this cemetery some years ago and could have missed some because the cemetery was overgrown at that time. Since that time Nick Denley recorded the cemetery.

I looked at the 1880 census on this family, and I do believe that Robert K. Sturdivant and Mattie could read and write. Note the "x" versus the "/." I believe "/" represents "cannot read," etc. However, we would need to look at the instructions to the enumerator to be sure.

There were Moseleys in Yalobusha County, and I am almost positive that some of them are buried in Coffeeville
Emil me at: herron@bellsouth.net. I will send you my recording of the Sturdivant Cemetery.
