William Barnes & Curtis Terry 1830s Yalobusha Co., MS

William Barnes bought 80.45 acres of land in Yalobusha Co., MS, on 31 October 1833. He also bought 79.82 acres there at the same time. In both cases the Assignee was Curtis Terry. (In one source James B. Finch was the original purchaser of the first tract.) Was Curtis Terry a relative of William Barnes? Were these two connected in some other way? It appears that Curtis Terry is the Kertis Terry who married Judith Gooch in Granville Co., NC, on 12 July 1803. Curtis and Judith died in Yalobusha Co. in 1859 and 1849, respectively. I am trying to learn more about this William Barnes. He may have been born about 1780/1790.
