Looking for family members of my uncle and any additional family information. Below is about all that I know.
(As of 1856, per death notice of his father below he was already a Major)
Maj. Robert Prophit b: 7 Jul 1813 GA who married Ann Gabriella Gilmer on 14 Nov 1841 in (Lowndes Co) GA, later married Susan F. after 1st wife died, then became a widower again after the yellow fever epidemic of 1878. The doctor listed the death of a Robert Prophet in the epidemic but neither Maj. Prophit or his son Robert died, so maybe it was Mrs. Robert Prophit or one of the other sons.
