Murrays Russells and Lockharts in Carbon County MT

I'm looking for anyone who is connected to the Murray's, Russell's, and Lockhart's who were in Red Lodge and Luther in Carbon County, MT at some time. There is another bunch of Murray's in Carbon County who are of Scottish descent and I am only interested in those of Irish descent at this time.

Edwin Charles Russell was born 1861-1863 in OH and dies after 1933 as he is in a picture and was residing in Luther, Carbon, MT that year. I am still tryig to locate him on the 1880 census somewhere but know he was not in MT for that census. He does appear in the 1920 Census for Carbon County, MT for Township 6 and in the 1930 Cenus or Carbon County, MT for Volney Creek. He was a Laborman on the Russell Farm in 1920 and a Farmer in 1930. He may have also worked in RR Construction in 1920 as it is highly doubtful that his wife did that work. His children were Lewis/Louis W. 1893, Lelia W. 1985, Charles E. 1897, Francis E. (male) 1900, Edna W. 1903, and Theodore R. 1906. All of his children were born in MT. In 1920 Lewis was a Surveyor, Lelia was a teacher for Bearcreek, Charles was a Farmer on the Russell Farm, and Francis was a Laborer. The picture of Edwin gives him a nickname of Ed. His home was constructed with Rocks and is similar in style to the 16 room home of John Shaw which I assume I have a picture of as it was a large home for the time. I know of no connection to the Shaw's. I am trying to determine who Edwin's parents are.

Edwin's wife was Mary L. Murray. She was called Aunt May. She was 60 years old on 11/4/1933 and Edwin was 72. Another picture on the same page has a picture of Grandmother Murray who I have determined is Sabina Unknown Murray and Aunt Katie who ws 58. Along with Grandmother Murray and Aunt Katie were two friends who appear close in age to Katie by appearance. Below this picture is one of Grandmother Murray aged 86 and Uncle Pal aged 54. Between these 2 pictures is the caption, "Irish, English & Spanish." I don't know if they were referring to the upper or lower picture or both. By looks Grandmother Murray and Uncle Pal appear the darkest complected of the bunch, as far as the Spanish is concerned.

Mary L. Murray was born 1873-1874 in MA to an Unknown Murray born in Ireland and Sabina Unknown born 1848-1849 in Ireland. Known children of this Unknown Murray and Sabina Unknown were M. H., Mary L. (already discussed), Kathrine (Katie) and Pal. I assume Pal is an abbreviation for something but I don't have a clue what. M. H. Murray is my great-grandfather. He was a Commercial Avenue Boot and Shoe Merchant in Skagit County, WA in 1908 when his 1st wife died. He is supposed to have married again and had another family by his 2nd wife. Katherine married Max J Sheckles or Keckler who was born 1874 in OH and died 1921-1930 in Carbon County, MT. Sabina lived with Katie and Max in 1920 in Bearcreek Township in Carbon County, MT and with Katie in 1930 in Helena, Lewis and Clark, MT. Sabina died after 1933 and there is an obituary in the Helena Independent Record but I don't yet know her exact date of death but the obituary would be very helpful to me. There are a lot of Murray's in MA who were born in Ireland and many who were in the shoemaking business.

Edwin Charles Russell and Mary L. Murray had 4 boys and 3 girls. One of their daughters, Mary Cecilia Russell, born 1891-1892 in MT married William Eaton Lockhart, Sr. 6/24/1914 in Red Lodge, Carbon, MT. He was born 11/14/1885 in Hebron, Clay, KS and died 6/10/1931 in Choteau, MT. He was the son of William Lockhart born 1846-1848 in N. Ireland and Isabella Marion Wylie born 1/25/1850 in New Concord, Muskingum, OH. William and Isabella married 10/2/1872 in Tabor, Clay, KS. This Wylie line traces back to PA. William and Mary are found in 1920 in Libby Township, Lincoln County, MT and in 1930 in Choteau City, Teton County, MT. He was a Forest Manager and a Forest Service Supervisor which explains why their children were all born in different counties in MT.

I'm looking for anyone who can connect to any of these lines.
