Am looking for information on Valentine and Julia Ries who lived in Chicago in 1871 and moved to Montana after the Chicago Fire in 1871. I have found Julia (age 67) and her son Albert listed on the 1900 census in Union Township, Madison County, Montana. She lists herself as a farmer and Albert as a laborer. Can somebody tell me where Union Township was? She lists herself as a widow so I am assuming Valentine died in Montana. Thanks, Carol
