I did some checking and I think this is the obit you need, I don't think the James who died in 1945, or the Phil in 1950 belong to this family. Here is James died 2-09-1938: I am not related, Cathee Montana Standard 2-10-1938 Butte, Montana J. C. O’Donnell Illness Victim Widely Known Anaconda Business Man Succumbs at Home. ANACONDA, Feb. 8.-James C. O’Donnell, 49, widely-known Anaconda business man, died at his home, 921 West Fourth street, this morning, following an Illness which confined him to his home since last Saturday. Mr. O'Donnell, however, had been in ill health for some time. During the past 20 years he operated, with his brother, Phil O'Donnell, the Condor cigar store, 117 East Park street Mr. O’Donnell was born Jan. 26, 1889, in Hazelton. Pa. He was brought to Anaconda by his parents when he was six years old. He at- tended local public schools and the business college. Later Mr. O'Donnell was employed at the Anaconda reduction works. During that period he served a two-year term as secretary-treasurer of the Mill and Smeltermen’s union. He was an ardent sportsman and was an active worker in civic projects. He was a member of the Anaconda Gun club, of which he was vice president; of the Anaconda Sportsmen's club; Knights of Columbus, and St. Paul church. Wife Died In September His wife, Mrs. O'Donnell, died Sept. 30 of last year. Surviving him besides his brother are two children, James C. O'Donnell, Jr., and Norma Jean O'Donnell; a brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. W. T. O'Dea, Anaconda; his father-in-law, Fred Oran, Anaconda; his mother-in-law Mrs. Fred Oran, Vancouver, Wash, a brother-in-law. Patrick Boyle Anaconda; an aunt, Mrs. Bridget O’Donnell, and an uncle, Owen Roarty, both of Phillpsburg, N. J and the following nephews an nieces, Thomas, James, Margaret and Phyllis O’Dea, all of Anaconda Loretta O'Dea., Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. William Massey, in Washington James, Michael, Frank and Owen Golden, Anaconda; and Mrs. Charles Boyle, Tacoma, Wash, besides several other relatives. The body will be removed Thursday morning from the P. J. Finnegan company funeral chapel to the family home. The funeral will take place Saturday morning at 9:30o'clock, proceeding to St. Paul church, where a requiem high mass will be solemnized at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in the family plot at Mount Carmel cemetery Notify Administrator about this message?
