I could only find this information on a Lawrence Hightower of Butte. Don't know if he is your Lawrence. MONTANA STANDARD, Butte, MT, 5 Sep 1929 Youth Reported Killed in War Meets His Mother Here Mrs. Byron Everson, 1920 Dewey Blvd., is a happy mother. Her son has come home. Reported dead in the World War, then heard of only to be lost again, Lawrence Hightower surprised her recently by walking into the Everson house and throwing his arms about her. The 27 year old son had not seen his mother since, as a boy still in knee breeches, he answered the call to arms in 1917. -- MONTANA STANDARD, BUTTE, MT, 7 Aug 1938 Mrs. "Bessie" Everson - In this city last evening Mrs. Bessie Everson of 1920 Dewey Avenue. The remains are at the Sherman & Reed Funeral home. -- Could this be your Larry Hightower? STARS AND STRIPES NEWSPAPER, 8 JUL 1946 Barrow Pusher on World Trek Eglensburg, Wash.- A 47 year old former Montana cowpuncher, Larry Hightower, was striding along at four miles an hour today on the first leg of his wheelbarrow-pushing jaunt around the world, a 12 year project. Wearing a red flasher on his coattails to warn drivers, Hightower started over the Cascade mountains towards Seattle steering his 55 pound, white-painted wheel barrow containing a radio receiving set and personal belongings. His 20,000 mile itinerary goes from Seattle to San Francisco where he will board a boat for Hawaii.
