Ancestors of Avington Muckleroy & Sarah Dawson

I have just received notification from the Daughters of American Colonists that my Supplemental applications for Catherine, Archibald, and John Mackelroy have been approved. My papers for the father and grandfather of Avington's wife, Sarah Dawson, have also been approved. Her father is William Dawson and grandfather, Thomas Dawson. Thomas lived in Henrico and Goochland Counties, VA on Licking Hole Creek. He gave land by deed of gift to his son, William. William later moved to Johnston Co., NC.
I joined this organization on Avington Muckleroy. I find it interesting that I was able to have papers approved for the DAR (Patriot) and for the US Society of Daughters of 1812 (Served on a Jury) for Avington.
The Dawson line is proven, but I am still researching and studying information regarding other Dawsons of the area to see if there is any connection or to definitely eliminate any connection. I'd love to hear from anyone who has been working on this Dawson line.
