does anyone know how or why the indians in the creeltown area started using the muckenfuss surname?are they related to susanna muckenfuss(daughter of george muckenfuss)?i've heard stories of susanna living with a indian man back in the late 1700's and early 1800's.dont know if it's true or if she had any children.

or did the local indians just start using the surnames of the white families that lived nearest to their settlement?
