Ah, laddybuck, we surely have a Crest! I refer you to the Historical Research Center, who provide such a Crest It goes on to tell of the Irish surname Muldoon which is an anglicized rendering of the Gaelic surname of O'Maolduin, which is, perhaps, traceable to the Gaelic"Dun". meaning "fort". There were three distinct septs of this name in Ireland. The most significant of these were the Muldoons of Fermanagh, who held the title of Kings of Lurg and so they are recorded in the"Annals of Loch Ce" One of their member, Felim O'Muldoon was a leading figure in the army fighting the forces of the crown until he was killed in Dungannon in 1642. Another branch of this family was located in Thomond, where during the 13th century the O'Muldoons of Ogonnelloe was one of the most prominent families of the Ut Bloid tribe. The poet O'Heerin celebrates them as follows:
The race of O'Maulduin from Dun Cais,Over the Eoganacht Anl in order rules. A numerous tribe from o'er thewaves, these armed Fenians from Aughrim."
The last of these clans held lands in the barony of Tireagh, County Slio and they were the members of Ut Flacheach tribe
Each of these clanswere among those called Milesian, claiming as they did descent from Milesian, King of Spain, who is said to have invaded Ireland in ancient times.
I hope that this will provide some answers to you inquiry.
