Yes, the William Mulholland you are looking for can be found on the website Find a Grave.William Mulholland is in the great Masoleum in Forest Lawn in Los Angeles.
For years my family said that we were cousins of William Mulholland, but when I began to research my genealogy two years ago, I could not find any proof of this.
However, within the last two months, I found that my family who originated in Ireland, migrated to Ontario Canada and then on to New York.
The 1870 census of New York was the last place I could find my family even though I continued to search.
Surprisingly, from an inquiry on the internet, a man in New York replied to my notice, and from there I was led to Michigan where Patrick and Roseann Mulholland had moved, died many years later, and were buried. This was extremely exciting for me.
Back to William Mulholland.I have read many books about William Mulholland.I found out that when he came to the United States, he went to Michigan to work in logging for a while then to Pennyslvania to work in a store. Then of course, he moved to California. This coincidence brings me a little closer to believing that he is a cousin. Who knows?I will keep researching.
This year I visited the Great Masoleum in Forest Lawn because my great great Aunt Margaret Mulholland is about 20 feet away from William Mulholland in the Great Masoleum. Her name is not on the outside of the drawer because she married a man named Frank Goings so her name became Margaret Goings.
Forest Lawn is a huge cemetery on a hillside with many large old trees. It is well maintained, peaceful and quiet even though it is in Los Angeles. The chapel of Forest is noted for a large leaded glass window of the Last Supper. It is beautiful.
Probably, you have completed your assignment, but maybe you will enjoy the information anyway.
