Not familiar with "Moville", but have learned that "Mullarkey" seems to be the accepted spelling of the family name chiefly found today in the counties of Sligo, Mayo and Galway. The 1890 census showed only 21 Mullarkeys in Ireland, all located in Connacht. I have been trying to trace my great grandfather John Thomas Mullarkey born in Ireland around 1840. It's possible he is the Thomas you mentioned. He named his sons Burnett, James and Frank and one of his daughters Mary. I have been told that many of the Irish followed a strict code of naming their children after parents and family members. Do you have any information you can share documenting how and where your Mullarkey's arrives in the U.S.
