My name is Brian Doyle, and I believe we are distant cousins.
Below is the part of my family tree you might find relevant:
Jeremiah McNamara and Catherine Mullett were married in September of 1860 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Newark, NJ. Jeremiah was born in Tipperary. Catherine's mother (I believe) was Bridget, and had at least two brothers, James and John. Catherine emigrated from Wexford, Ireland about 1858.
At the time of the Civil War, they moved into Canada, and then into the thumb of Michigan about 1872 (specifically, Delaware Township, Sanilac County). Three childrend died in Canada, but Catherine had three others that survived the trek. She had four more in Delaware Twp. Jeremiah died in February 1879, leaving Catherine to raise these seven on her own. Only four of these children survived into the 20th century. I am a descendant of Bridget McNamara (b. Nov. 1868).
I have census information on John Mullett and James Mullett, bur really nothing else to go on. Any information you might provide would be of great benefit. I look forward to hearing from you.
