Hello,
Damien Mulley from Ireland. There are Mulleys over here but we're not many and we are not listed in the phone book.
My Great Grandfather came from Ipswich and married an Irish woman. Unfortunately most of his family in England were wiped out in World War II so its been very hard to trace our roots. I believe myself that Mulley might be an Irish name. Theres a verb in Irish called Mull meaning To Praise. My Irish is rusty but one of the variations is MullaĆ (pronounced Mullee). Mull can also mean a hill.
I wouldn't be surprised that theres Mulleys in the West Indies. If they were of Irish origin it wouldn't be unusual at all. Or it might have been some British subjects that worked over there and married in to the local population.
Damien.
