Hello, Perry: As far as I know there is only one George Mullis who's existence is borne out by records, and he would be Richard Mullis' son, brother to eldest son John b. ca. 1720 (In 1732 he was apprenticed to be a carpenter-joiner with father Richard's signed agreement, which at the time meant he was 12 years old), meaning younger bro. George was born sometime afterward (1720s)...and this George, again, the ONLY one anyone has been able to identify in subsequent records....In Orange/Culpeper counties in Va. as of 1763, next recorded in Orange Co,N. C. on a petition he signed in 1768, and finally in 1774 Chatham Co. (formed from Orange in 1771, the which formation was his desire per petition of 1768)... I'd estimate his age in 1770 to be in his forties, so he could be the George supposed father of 1760s Mullis children....
