I am looking for the parents of Robert B. Mullis (b.1845 N.C.d. 1899 )., he was married to Elizabeth Lynn (b.1849 d.1936 ) in 1866 Decatur Ga.
Robert was a Confederate Soldier (private, in the 10th bat. heavy art'ly. N.C.) Elizabeth applied for his pension in 1909.
In the 1870 census of Decatur Ga. he is listed (23) with wife Elizabeth (20). he listed his birthplace and those of his parents in N.C.
In 1893 Elizabeth's 7 brothers (sons of Felix H. Lynn) and Robert came to Tampa from N.Fl. by mule drawn wagons to buy land and est. a home for thier families. The rest of the family (3 sisters, all the children and mother) came in 1895. Elizabeth and Robert settled in what was to become Mullis City and started a store called Mullis Corners on N. Dale Mabry (N. Tampa)
They had 6 children and many decendants.
John Anderson m. Florida Kansas Hamm
George E. m. Nettie Smythe
Robert M. m. Lillie Todd
Joseph L. m. Bessie?
Sue, died young
Susie m. George Wannamaker

Any help on finding Roberts parents would be appreciated, There are so many Mullis families in Ga. and N.C.! And every one of them has a son named Robert.
Thank You, Mary
