hi Margaret, our Mulroney/Mulrooney clan originates in county Sligo Ireland. Our ancestor Simon Mulrooney died in Ireland just prior to emmigration in 1833/34 . His wife Catherine Durkin Mulrooney came with her familyto Hungerford twp, Hastings county. They are buried at St Edmunds RC cemetary
Stoco Ontario. My Catherine who died in 1888 was only in her early 20's when she passed.
I would think your Catherine is buried with your family at Kemptville. I have two great grandmothers that were not added to the gravestones.Guess there was no money?Did you get to look at Parish Records ?
I dont think Antrim and Sligo are that far apart. I see that Antrim is ajacent to Maghera, County Londonderry , where my Marlin ancestors lived.
My grandmother Teresa Mulrooney Marlin used to take the train to Kemptville about 1905-1910 . We had a connection with Father Carson who was priest at Kemptville,I think he was from Stoco.
They used to have alot of church picnics and socials.
Good luck with your search.
I know what it is like ,I searched every graveyard in the area only to find that one of my Marlin lineage had moved to Michigan.
