Joseph Mumby and Elizabeth Ash

Joseph Mumby and Elizabeth Ash were married at Stainton-le-Vale on 10 May, 1811 and the following children have been identified as born at Walmsgate, Lincolnshire Elizabeth, John Lincoln, Alice, Thomas and William between 1812 and 1821. Some sources indicate that Joseph and Elizabeth had a total of 13 children and emigrated to Canada in the mid 1800s. We are aware that the family lived in or near Smithville, Ontario now known as Foxboro north of Belleville. While we suspect that George Mumby that settled in Rawdon was another child we are searching for details on any of the above or additional children of Joseph and Elizabeth Mumby.
