Hi Carol,
The name originated in the county of Lincolnshire, England. However, you will need a few more details about your ancestors before you can proceed. There are three major branches of the Mumby family. The main concentration of the name is in north Lincolnshire. Migration to Canada, Australia and the USA occured mostly in the mid 1800's.
