Hi Dennis,
You contacted me by e-mail earlier this month regarding my interest in Mumby which you noted on a List. Hope you can help me so here goes with what little I have. My gggrandfather was Albert Sylvanus Reeve. According to his birth reg he was born Nov 20, 1840 in Hoxton New Town, Shoreditch. His parents were William Reeve and Charlotte Mumby. They were living at 13 Craven St at that time. On the IGI I found a marriage between William Reeve and Charlotte Numby(Mumby) Dec 1819 at St Botolph's, Boston, Lincs. William and Charlotte are not at the Craven St address for the 1841 census and the family disapears until Albert and family show up in Portsea for the 1881. I would like to know more about Charlotte and how to find out if this is the right marriage. What do you think?
Christine in sunny Vancouver Island
