Thanks Geri. Actually, I just read file R7306 at the David Library a couple of weeks ago, and it was not the Jacob M. I was looking for. But I did turn up several other pension application files that revealed a lot about the service of Kichlein's battalion (and especially Hagenbuch's company) at Long Island and Fort Washington, so it was a very worthwhile trip.
For anyone within a reasonable distance of Washington Crossing PA, I can highly recommend a trip to the David Library of the American Revolution. You should reserve a microform reader in advance, however. See http://www.libertynet.org/dlar/http://www.libertynet.org/dlar/
