My Grandfather Manuel Muniz was a newspaper publisher in Madrid Spain in the 1880s and 90s. He migrated to Cuba around the time of the Spanish American War and moved after to New York City. He married my grandmother either just before leaving Cuba or just after arriving in NY. Her name was Maria Figueroa and she was born in Havana Cuba, and came from a "prominent" family, originally from Galicia Spain. My father, Ricardo, was born in NYC in 1910. Any informationn on long lost relatives and the filling in of my genealogical blanks would be appreciated. Pls note my Spanish is almost non existent.
