I wish you luck in your research, but firstly it is urgent that you have your message amended.
Firstly, it is not appropriate to advise the world of your father being incarcerated. I'm sure he doesn't wish to have this advertised.
Secondly, DO NOT EVER post your e-mail address in a message. If people want to contact you by e-mail they can click on your name at the head of the message to learn your address, then manually type it into their e-mail "To:" field. The whole idea of this is to prevent people spamming you. Given your alleged age, you shouldn't be expose to half the stuff they will send you, so you should change your e-mail address if you start getting any and advise the administrators of this site of your new address.
To amend your message, note the message number of your posting, click on the "Feedback" link at the top of the page and contact the administrator to have them remove your e-mail address and the reference to your father's incarceration.
As to tracing your family, you should be able to get hold of your full birth certificate, which I daresay will be with the papers held by your school, foster parents, doctor or whatever. Other certificates, such as your parent's marriage certificate, birth certificates and your mother's death certificate may all be there. Ask around any aunts and uncles you have, and your grandparents if they are still alive.
Look at the certificates for your parent's and grandparents' details and you can then try ordering more of them.
I suggest you go to a Latter Day Saints Library and ask the volunteers there for some advice on what to do. They will have addresses, possibly forms, price lists and so on.
