Descendants of Sinai Murlin

Generation No. 1

1. SINAI MURLIN was born Abt. 1806 in New York, and died Abt. 1879 in Edinburough, Johnson, IN. She married THOMAS J. CHESHIRE November 01, 1839 in Hardin Co., Kentucky, son of JONATHAN CHESHIRE and ELIZABETH HOLLIS. He was born Abt. 1810 in Bullitt Co., KY, and died Bet. 1882 - 1900.

Thomas remarried in Sept 1880, giving us an approximate date of her death.
       i.       S. J.2 CHESHIRE, b. Abt. 1841, Larue Co., KY.
ii.       SARAH ELLEN CHESHIRE, b. Abt. 1842, Larue Co., KY.
iii.       SINA CHESHIRE, b. Abt. 1846, Larue Co., KY.
iv. S. M. CHESHIRE, b. 1849, Larue Co., KY; d. Bef. 1860, Larue Co., KY.

This info is from the 1850 Larue Co. census. In 1860, the youngest child is gone, and we still have S. F. for initials. Don't know what her name was and haven't found a marriage that might be hers.

In 1870, James is found on the Johnson Co., IN census with wife Sina and dtr Ellen. Sina is living in Bullitt Co., KY with her uncle's family. The census lists William Cheshire, his wife and three children, ages 17, 15 and 12. Then it has a William N. Cheshire, age 24 and Sina, age 22. I don't know if she was just listed last or if she married this William. I haven't found a marriage for her, but she may have married a cousin. I don't know who this William is, and I don't find him or Sina on the 1880.

Sorry, that's all I can tell you about Sinai. Thank you for giving me her parents names. I appreciate that.
