J.K. MURPH of AUTAUGA COUNTY,AL

I came across a reference to a J.K. MURPH in Autauga County, AL in 1896. I do not know if this was John MURPH of Autauga or not.
The reference mentions his GERMAN heritage:

MR. J.K. MURPH has an heirloom, a folding table that his GREAT-GRANDFATHER brought with him from GERMANY when he migrated to this country about 125 years ago (ca 1770)
SOURCE: PRATTVILLE PROGRESS, October 9, 1896.
