I would especially like to know of any Civil War service, since my friend is quite in volved in Civl War history, but has no info about his ancestry.

Cabarrus Co, attended school within the year; Mary Ann, 11 b. Rowan Co, in school; William F, 9 b. Rowan Co, in school; Thomas D, 7 b. Rowan Co, in school; John N?, 5 b. Cabarrus Co, NC; Jethro A, 3 b. Cabarrus Co; Huldey E, 1 b. Cabarrus Co, female; Jane Leazer, 18 b. Rowan Co.

Looking for any info on John & his wife, and their son Thomas D. MURPH, b. ca 1843 NC.
