I have not seen proof on the parents of George Murph either, but his probable brothers are a Henry Murph and Conrad Murph. Conrad and George were both previously of Richland County, SC, Henry from Lexington County. They all three migrated to Georgia, and in 1860, Henry is living with Conrad in Houston County, GA.

A wild guess could be that their related to the Lincoln County, GA Murphs, but not proven.

The “Frederick-Rumph” family book (per Leonardo Andreas) names the children of Jacob and Christiana Morff as John, Jacob, Henry, Conrad and George. However, Christiana would have been really old for the births of the last three. I don't know where the "Frederick-Rumphs" got this information, as I've not seen a copy of the book. If anyone has or knows where to find it, I would sure enjoy knowing the source of their info.

This isn't my line, just some Murff/Murph research. Hope it helps someone.

Regards,
Jan Murff Melton
