John Milton Murph was the son of Jacob Murph Jr. B- abt 1798 and died bef 1850 in Cabarrus Co NC. His wife was Hannah Groner B-1807. Their children:
Elinor I. b-1831
John Milton b-1832
Daniel L b-1838
Jacob M. b-1840
Jane C b-1843
William S. b-1845
The father of Jacob Murph Jr was Jacob Murph Sr born about 1756 in Switzerland and landed in a NC port in 1770 with his brother Rudolph. Both of them originally settled in the St Matthews-Orangeburg parish of SC. Prior to 1790, Jacob moved to NC and married Elzabeth (unk). Jacob died 1806 in NC.
