Hi Margaret,
My Alice was from Monaghan. She married Dennis McGarrell (various spellings), They had two daughters, Katie 1866, & Nellie 1869. There was a son as well, but I don't know his name. The story is that it was a second marriage for both, with his children, her children and their children. Does this ring any bells??? Nellie's eldest son was christened Bernard. Let me know if we are on the right track.
