Hi, my grandfather was a William Murtagh and his family are reported as being from the Westmeath area. William is a strong family name of our but it has died out along the Murtagh line, unless i can convince my cousin to start a family. Sadly i have not been able to trace any further back than my grandfather and his brother and sister James and Kathleen and their families. However there are loads of Murtagh families around 40 miles-ish from the Dublin area. If you can find any more information which may link our families i would appreciate you contacting me. I live in Buckinghamshire England. e-mail with any news,

bi for now.
