Since Lord Dacre was east march Warden,and the Musgraves West march wardens,they could harldy engage in full scale slaughter. However vendetta and "blood fued" are used frequently to describe relations,between them. There undoubtedly was spilt blood border fueds would not have been considerd fueds otherwise. Undoubtedly reiveing and poltics were the problems.
