Thomas Musgrave was born in 1800(lawrence County Tenn) is James Anderson Musgraves brother, not his father. His father is Jonas Quimby Musgave, born 1770 in England.Jonas was in NC in 1790 census. I am not sure who he married but some research in Wayne county,New born district may produce her name. My guess is her name was Anderson and a pretty good guess it was nancy, unless Nancy was Thomas fisrt wifes name. Reason being both Calvin and Alfred Musgrave names their daughters Nancy eitherafter their mom or grandma.Since thomas married a Marai Wlden in 1828 my guess it was their grandma.Thomas sons were Calvin and Alfred. Both migrated to Calif where Alfred stayed scion to Northern Calif Musgraves.Calvin ended up in Texas father of my ggrandpa Jonas Quimby Musgrave.my grandfather was John Henry Musgrave I,ther being a JH Musgrave II and a JH Musgrave three.
