Southampton County Musgraves

For years I have been trying to connect my slave Wright ancestors to the Musgraves, Leighs(Lees), Harris, and Turners from the Boykins/Capron/Drewryville areas of Southampton County. THe Musgraves who have responded have been most helpful. I believe that my ancestor, Elizabeth Stephens, was a slave of Robert T. Musgrave and Charlotte Harris Musgrave. Several of Elizabeth's children assumed the name of Turner after the 1870 census. What I found interesting was Charlotte's parents were Newitt Harris and Elizabeth Turner. Thinking out aloud, could it be that Charlotte took Elizabeth to her new home when she married Robert Musgrave. Family oral tradition states that "Elizabeth's hands never touched a plow. She was a lady's lady, a handmaiden." Other oral traditions makes the connection between this family and Elizabeth possible. IS anyone familiar with Robert and Charlotte's slave holdings?
How did Musgraves end up in Southampton County?
