Moses Musgrave 1745 Octorara

This might be old information, but I'll put it out there anyway.

In researching my home in the Octorara region on the Lancaster-Chester County, PA, line, I have come across some evidence in tavern petitions that Moses Musgrave might have built this structure in 1745-46 as a tavern. His 1745 petition says he recently left his tavern in the Borough of Lancaster. Aron Musgrave signed the petitions as a subscriber. Moses filed tavern petitions with Chester County for the years 1745 (rejected) through 1750. I have not been able to find a deed, but many of these early deeds were not recorded.

While I can't offer any family information yet, maybe this will provide a bit of the detail that makes history come alive.
