Hi Troy,

I'd like to claim one of the Musgroves in your list - Emily Musgrove b 1857 in St Lukes, Newington, London. She is the younger sister of Mary Musgrove, who is my great great grandmother. (England Census 1861 Newington: 2 Rose Court)

As far as I can make out, Emily and Mary are daughters of a Thomas Musgrove, b circa 1824 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and Emma ?. I have ordered a marriage certificate for Thomas to confirm the correct name for his wife.

None of the other Musgroves on your list ring any bells, although amongst my grandfather's mother's papers I found a calling card inscribed with the name "Sydney T S Musgrove" upon it, and a pencil-scribbled address in Bournemouth. I cannot tell if this is your "Golly" or not!

Regards,

Roz Doyle
