Thanks for your reply, EMILY MUSGROVE (b.1857) was the sister of my great-great-great grandfather, JOHN MUSGROVE, who I believe was born in Liverpool in 1849. Both of them, of course were the siblings of the person you know as MARY MUSGROVE (I had her down as MARYAM MUSGROVE, b. 1832, although this is probably a result of another late relative's bad handwriting). Anyway, all three of them were the offspring of ROBERT MUSGROVE (who I have down as being born in Felton Lane, Holborn in 1810) and HANNAH ? (who was born in Ireland in 1815). It's fantastic that you're ordering their marriage certificate, because that's also as far back as I've gone on the Musgrove line. If JOHN MUSGROVE was born in Liverpool, I believe it's possible that ROBERT MUSGROVE (his father) may have met HANNAH ? there after she arrived in Liverpool as an Irish immigrant. Many of them arrived in the North-West at that time, of course. But JOHN MUSGROVE doesn't seem to be the youngest of the three siblings, and his sisters were born in St. Luke's workhouse in London. But hopefully you will help clear this matter up soon, providing us not only with HANNAH ?'s surname, but perhaps also her place of birth in Ireland.
SYDNEY MUSGROVE was the brother of my great nan on my mother's side, by the way, VIOLET GLADYS MUSGROVE (1900-1987). She's the oldest person on that line that I actually knew personally (I was born in 1965). Both were two of eight siblings born to EDGAR FRANCIS MUSGROVE (who was born in Brixton on 25.03.1875, worked as a spirit gauger and died on 05.02.1934) and ELLEN ROSE SCRUTTON (who was born in Kennington, London, on 26.09.1877 and died on 05.02.1971). EDGAR MUSGROVE and his sister ANNIE MUSGROVE (born in Newington, London in 1871) were the children of the aforementioned JOHN MUSGROVE.
