Hi Troy,

I'm sorry to rain on the parade, but the Emily Musgrove in my tree, although indeed the sister of a John Musgrove, is not the daughter of Thomas Musgrove, and the marriage certificate I am ordering relates to Thomas Musgrove, not Robert Musgrove. The 1861 Census shows the following:

(at 2 Rose Court, Newington, London)

Thomas Musgrove, Head, Married, 37, Warehouse Porter, born Gloucestershire Cheltenham;
Emma Musgrove, Wife, Married, 30, no occupation, born Gloucestershire Stroud;
Mary Musgrove, Daughter, Single, 11, Scholar, born Gloucestershire Cheltenham;
John Musgrove, Son, Single, 10, Scholar, born Gloucestershire Cheltenham;
Edward Musgrove, Son, Single, 9, Scholar, born Middlesex Pimlico;
Emily Musgrove, Daughter, Single, 5, Scholar, born Surrey Newington.

I can also see that there is another Emily Musgrove born in Newington on the 1861 Census, matching the details you supplied above, so it looks like we're talking about two different Emily's - shame! I'm sure there's a link somewhere though - this surname is unusual enough. I will of course post any findings regarding a link between our two Emily's, and post the results of the marriage certifcate when it arrives.

Roz
