Bingo, I think! This is all the information I have. My great-grandmother, Edna Martha "Mattie" Musgrove, born 12/20/1892 somewhere in Ala., told us her father's name was William Musgrove. Her mother's name was Mary Harper. She knew very little about her family, or just couldn't remember since she was put in an orpahn home at an early age. She also stated William Musgrove had a brother by the name of Rufus and that she (my ggrandmother)had a brother named Jack Musgrove, who died of a concussion at the age of l3 years and a sister, named Susie Musgrove who died of pneumonia at the age of 4. My great-grandmother married John Henry Nix, born 1/01/1852, in 1909 in Coahoma County, Ms. He was 40 years older than she at the time of their marriage. Ancestry.com shows a John Henry Nix married to a Mary Harper. This would mean my g-grandmother married her step-dad. Don't think this is correct. What is strange, though, is she also told us John Henry's father was William Nix and that he married a women by the name of ? Stacy. Casey and Stacy sound so much alike. I'm just wondering if she was confused? If possible, I would like all the information on this family you have. I have hit a brick wall and any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
F. Williamson

PS WE DO KNOW SHE WAS PART INDIAN!
