Ashford Musgrove

Looking for info on Ashford Musgrove (no birth or death date). He married Celia Douden (no dates either).
They had at least one child: Samuel Alfred Musgrove.

Here is a story about them that was sent to me by my aunt:
About your great-great grandpa Musgrove....there is a story that goes something like he (Ashford) had fallen madly in love with a high society girl (Celia) and she loved him too. I think he lived outside of Boone at the time on "the old home place" as it was always called. And if I remember right, she lived in Ames. (Don't know for sure about that at all.) Her parents strictly forbade her to marry him and threatened to disinherit her if she did. Well, she married the poor farmer, Ashford and she was disinherited by her parents. The "old home place" still is somewhat in the family as it was sold to my cousin Marcela (Musgrove) and her husband. The Musgrove family is very English in origins.
- Connie Blue (Musgrove)

Any one have any more info?

Thanks in advance
