May I jump in here again? Since you mention Belton Musgrove being born in FL, please go back to the GenForum Musgrove message from Mary Ann Strickland Grainger dated
APRIL 6, 1999. In this message she says she believes that the Baton Mase Musgrove shown as age 6 changed his name to Belton O. Musgrove after a popular cousin in Coffee Co. AL. I don't know that this is correct, but I know Mary Ann has done a LOT of research on this family, and she lived in AL, so was close to her subject.
