In his 1904 book,"History of the Town of Bristol New Hampshire", Richard Watson Musgrove names himself as a son of James Musgrove, born London England Dec. 13, 1798, to James and Sarah (Hacket) Musgrove. Richard also penned an autobiography (just reprinted by the Historical Society)about his amazing memoirs as a member of the 12th NH Volunteers during the Civil War, and as a "Galvanized Yankee" as the western frontier was being settled. Upon his return, he opened a printing house and began publishing a local newspaper. Thanks to his notes and diaries, a wealth of historical information is recorded about him and the world as he knew it. I have a photo of his gravestone and could likely find his obituary as well if you'd like.
Best regards, Sue
