Could you be talking about JOHN MUSGROVE, SR., Fairfax Co., VA, son of CUTHBERT MUSGROVE, of Charles Co., MD. Of his son, CUTHBERT MUSGROVE, I can find no additional information. The fourth son, WILLIAM MUSGROVE died during the Rev. War in Loudon Co., VA. His estate records names his wife, VOLINDAR and all his children who were all minors. Of his sons there were:

4.1. JOHN MUSGROVE Oldest son, who inherited the three lifetime interest in a plantation but later lost the lease because he could not keep it up. What happened afterwards is not known mainly because by then there were so many JOHN MUSGROVES from other families as well that it is almost impossible to tell them apart.
4.2. GILBERT MUSGROVE, moved to Kentucky, this later Missouri.
4.3. CUTHBERT A. MUSGROVE, School Teacher. Also moved to Kentucky, where he died. His children became quite scattered.
The above is from some information that a Lady set me. I think there is more but I have not had much free time in the last couple of years to spend in my research. If I can help I will try. Send me a note @ kds9737@hotmail.com
