Hello Larmar,

I wrote to you the other day and you refered me to Becky Goff. She wasn't able to shed any light on my guys, so I'm back to pick your brain (or files <G>) again. I am just sure my Brown/Musselwhites and yours tie in, so I'm wondering if I have names wrong or something. The only thing I have to go on is census and marriage records and they are known to have many mistakes! I am looking for Asa Musselwhite b.1800-09 in GA, mar. Penelope(Penny)Brown b.(ca) 1818 GA. They were mar. Pulaski Co. GA on May 3, 1832. I find them in the 1850 Lowndes Co.,GA and the 1860 Berrien Co.,GA census. I think they were living the same place and the Co. lines changed during the 1850's. I have been told they went to Alachua Co. Fl about 1870 where Penelope died. He then returned to Berrien Co.,GA and mar. (2) Martha __?__. He died 1890 Alapaha GA. Some of their children stayed in North FL and raised families.

Asa and Penny marrird within a couple of years of your Musselwhite/Browns in Pulaski Co. I wonder if Asa was a middle name instead of his first? There are a lot of their childrens names that are the same as your guys and they did seem to repeat the same names over and over.

I'm thinking maybe I could go at this from the other side. Do you have any Browns with a daughter P., Penny, or Penelope that was born 1815-20?

thanks for your time...Lynda
