I can't answer your question, but keep in mind while doing your research that a lot of names were misspelled or changed when they immigrated.Some fellow genealogist friends researching the White's of Mississippi found that several MUSSELWHITEs (MUSCLEWHITE, MUSSELLWHITE, ETC, ETC) shortened their last name to WHITE.Some may have even changed their name to MUSSEL OR MUSCEL. Also, a lot of people indexing old family histories, Bibles, Census reports, etc may have mistaken the first letter of a surname to be something completely at the other end of the alphabet.Just thought I'd pass these tips on to you.
