Musselwhite / Musslewhite of Pavo, Ga.

Does anybody have any information on the Musselwhite's of Pavo, Ga? My father was Albert Musslewhite (Musselwhite) who was the son of Richard and Ruth Musselwhite. Richard is buried in the Pavo cemetary along with his mother and father (Francis and Thomas) and several brothers ( Lee, Uriah, Lonnie).
Also, I can't determine why my father and his brother Bruce spelled their name "Musslewhite" instead of Musslewhite like thier parents. Does anybody know?
